18, 8, and 218
Question:
Okay, so for the past year almost I have repetitively came across the number 18 or 8. Occasionally there is a 2 involved always in front of the number 18 or 8, this 2 is becoming increasingly more usual lately. On some occasions if the numbers are accompanied by a letter it is always D which is the first letter of my name. I turned 18 on the 18th this year, yes that is 2-18. I see this number every day. My friends apartment number was D-218 then last night I walked out of my friends place and his the first thing I saw was his neighbors 218 on the door. It gets weirder, I have flown 2 times this year round trip every flight on a randomized seating chart I have been placed in seat D18! I see 18 on page numbers, times, buses, change, number of likes on a photo, literally everywhere! My grandmother also passed a year ago and I was in the room with her touching her soul when she passed over. I always get a wiff of perfume in my room when I'm alone. Idk what this means but if you could lead me in the right direction you would soothe my soul. I thank you soo much!

There is much coincidence there. But probably not as much as there seems to be.
Of the many numbers in your environment, you tend to notice certain ones more often than others. Of the numbers that are noticed, only certain ones are remembered.
The coincidences can also have a broader view. If the seats were numbered D6, the coincidence is unlikely to have been remembered.
One more example, looking at a similar instance: Of all the different cars you followed on the way to the airport, two in a row with the number 56 on their license plate wouldn't have been remembered. But if the number was 18 or 218, it would have got your attention and have been remembered.
This is what makes certain numbers memorable: Familiarity — especially if the numbers have a direct relation to your very existence. And also especially when a person wonders if seeing the numbers has a personal meaning or message.

Your birthday contains two memorable numbers, the 2 and the 18, predisposing you to noticing those numbers. Wondering what it might mean when you keep seeing those numbers again and again creates a mystery.
