Middle Name Used as First Name
Question:
In my family for some reason we go by our middle names. Thusly [first name removed], my first name is more like my middle name and my middle like my first (Rafael). Some years ago I began writing my name with a ph instead of an f in Rafael in order to change the numerical value of my first and last name from 2 to 3. Was this decision poorly informed?
Answer: (Responses to questions rely on the accuracy of the name and birth date provided with the question. Typographical errors or incomplete information can result in an incorrect response.)
The most important numbers for a name are the three major ones calculated with the full birth name. Switching Rafael with Raphael does not change those numbers.
The first letter of your first name and the first vowel of your first name are also important. They are the cornerstone and open heart letters. (When a name begins with a vowel, then the same letter is in both cornerstone and open heart positions.)
Generally, the first name of the birth name is used as a personal familiar name. In your case, the middle-positioned name is used as the first name, so your cornerstone and open heart letters are "R" and "A", respectively. Switching Rafael with Raphael does not change those letters.
As a point of interest, the open heart letter of your officially-recorded first name and your practical first name are the same.
There is little change in the numbers because of the Rafael with Raphael switch.
