Yes and no. Some seem to just make things up and others copy from other web sites. But I think most numerologists do the best they can for their experience and in whatever circumstances they find themselves.

What you're reading are interpretations. Every numerologist will interpret things differently, although most seem to be in general alignment.

The issue is several-fold.

Each individual number has its own unique numerology essence. That's before the number is assigned to a position in a numerology profile.

Only when a numerology number is assigned to a position will it have meaning. Before that, it's just an existence, an essence, a vibration. Once assigned to a position, the essence of the number is interpreted according to the meaning of the position in the profile.

A numerology profile has many positions. Heart's desire, destiny, life path, personality, power, major life cycles and, depending on the depth of the numerology reading, many more positions.

The interpretation of the number at a particular position comes from the meaning of the position and the essence of the number assigned to it.

Because it is an interpretation, it can vary from numerologist to numerologist. Even for the same number at the same position. See the Number Meanings in Numerology article for an example.
