Which Calendar to Use
Question:
When I was born in Iran my birth date was recorded according to the Solar Hijri calendar. It is different from the calendar on your website. Which calendar do I use to find my personal year?
Answer: (Responses to questions rely on the accuracy of the name and birth date provided with the question. Typographical errors or incomplete information can result in an incorrect response.)
Use the calendar of your birth. As with non-English alphabets, the right system to use is the one in use when and where you were born.
To calculate your personal year number, first add together these three numbers:
The day of your birth.
The month number of your birth. The month number is the sequential number assigned to months when the first month of the year is month 1, the second month 2, and so forth.
The number of the current year.
When you have that total, reduce the number to a single digit. That will be your personal year number.
