The Best Career is Good Enough

Question:
Please advise me the best career to choose. I am really confused.

Speaking from personal experience, when a person insists on the best of anything before they make a choice, the choice is never made. That's because the best can not be determined without trying at least two options.

After two options have been tried and experienced with enough depth to make the determination, then the person can decide which of the two is best.

Once a person has experienced all the likely options — the ones that appear to have the potential to be the best — then the person is in position to declare which of all the options is best for them.

This applies even to choice of career.

A person can do interviews, ask numerologists, become familiar with expected financial rewards and incentives, obtain employment outlook studies, and consult personal feelings.

Yet, while there remains more than one career choice with the potential to be the best, which option really is the best remains unknown. The way to find out with certainty is to experience each option.

Because it rarely is feasible to personally experience each career in order to determine which is the best, people generally decide which career is good enough rather than continuing the self-defeating insistence on only the best.

Use the career suggestions tool to help you make a list of careers that would be good enough. In the list, include the careers you're already considering that you've already determined are good enough.

You'll end up with a list of careers knowing that no matter which one you choose from the list, it will be good enough.

Do some research. Determine the employment outlook for each career on your list. Also the potential and realistic financial rewards. And how appealing each career is to you, personally; how you feel about each career.

Now, the choice will be easier. You have the notes you wrote about each career. You know you can't make a wrong choice — whichever career you choose, it will be good enough.
