The first question to ask yourself is, "Why?" What do you wish to gain by changing your name?

If there are things you wish to abandon by changing your name, it's unlikely to work. The reason is that the energy of the birth name remains with a person their entire life — even if they change their name. The new name adds energy; it does not remove energy.

But if there are things you wish to gain, then those things need to be considered when determining your new name. The new name should enhance those things where they're not already favored in your birth name.
