I Changed My Name; Is It Good?
Question:
My real name is [name removed for privacy] but six months ago I added 'k' to my first name. Now I spell my name as [name removed for privacy]. Is it a good change or could it have been better.???
Answer: (Responses to questions rely on the accuracy of the name and birth date provided with the question. Typographical errors or incomplete information can result in an incorrect response.)
Because I do not know why you changed your name, I can not talk about whether or not it was a good change. Nor can I say if a different name could have been better.
However, I can talk about some of the changes the new name brings.
Because the new name has been used only six months, its essence has not yet fully infused itself. The more you identify yourself with the new name, the faster its resonance becomes a part of you. Still, it may take a year or several to complete the process.
With the new name number, there is more of a tendency to be introspective and also more capacity to find answers within. The name number is now different than your life path number. The life path number (also the previous name number) resonates with expression of personal freedom.
The personality number (the way people tend to see you at first impression) now resonates more with family and harmony and less with being a reliable worker.
The heart's desire number fortunately remained the same. The heart's desire number is the same number as one of your challenge numbers. The heart's desire number can make the challenge easier to meet.
If you decide to change back to your original name, the resonance of the second name will remain, its effect gradually decreasing, but never decreasing to zero.
For others reading this Numerology Answer, name changes are a significant undertaking. Be sure to do it right.
It is unwise to change one's name very often. The vibes of each name remain with a person, albeit fading over time. The more often a person changes their name, the more confusing life gets.

Names should be changed only when there is a compelling reason to do so — after determining exactly what new attributes are desired, which current attributes one wants to enhance, and which current attributes one wants to diminish.
Be aware of all implications before proceeding with a name change.
