Seeing Serial Numbers Since Ex and I Broke Up

The easiest part of my response is to say that you remember seeing those numbers because, at the instant you see them, you give them special attention. It is an attention you don't give other numbers.

You remember numbers you pay special attention to. Other numbers are not remembered.

Now, the not-so-easy part.

There is a reason you started remembering it when you saw serial numbers. The reason would be subjective, not something that is calculable with numerology.

Perhaps it is merely that you noticed when you saw a serial number and gave it a mental nod, so to speak. Then, when you later remembered it, you wondered why. Wondering why imparts significance and, pretty much every time after that you will give the serial number special attention when you see it.

Or, perhaps the serial number itself has special significance in your life, maybe a date or example, which may have been the reason you gave it the mental nod the first time you saw it.

Any significance a number has can be a reason for someone giving the number special attention when they see it.

When one number is repeatedly "seen" (remembered to have been seen), then related numbers may also be "seen". A repeatedly seen serial number, for example, may be sufficient nudge to also remember a different serial number.

If you consciously notice the special attention you give a number, whenever you do so, then it will be clearer how this works. And, it may be sufficient for you to break the habit.
