It has been similar to the fact that I continually see the time of my birth, 10:18, several times a day when I look to see what time it is. Any ideas?

Yes, for areas that use 12-hour clocks, 10:18 will occur twice a day.
You look at the clock at other times, but 10:18 is the one you remember seeing.
The reason you remember seeing that time is that when it occurs your mind notices that it's your birth time. That extra attention (that the other times don't get when you see them) tends to be sufficient to make you remember seeing that time.
