Using Initial as Name for Numerology

Is the initial to be added while calculating numerology? Is the birth date number in harmony with name number? If not, what would be a good number to change the name number.

When getting a numerology reading, use the full name as recorded at birth.
If the initial represents a name that was recorded when you were born, use the name instead of the initial. If only the initial was recorded when you were born, then use the initial.
