Strong Belief in Numerology
Question:
Sir/Mam my question is regarding confusions going on with my career and my relationship life. My girlfriend and me are in relationship since January 2011. She believes too much in numerology and her astrologer said to her we won't last. She will find her love of life this year and then she will have to make choice between 2 of us. And she believes and grieves on it as if it already happened, and this makes me sad, too. She says she's being told this is destiny. Can't there be some way or idea to reduce this destiny's influence? I mean we are together for 5 years and than suddenly she will find love of her life. Also we are planning to meet this year in December or most probably in January. For now we're in long distance relationship. Please, please I request you to suggest me some solution. She is [birth date removed]. Also I was thinking to go as security officer for my career. Can this be successful, too? Earlier, I was general medicine student but had to drop out because my father expired and I couldn't afford. Please, I hope some solutions. Thanking you.

I'm not prepared to speak about astrology. But I can speak about numerology.
Numerology is about tendencies and likelihoods — not about irrefutable predictions or predetermination.
Nobody is governed by their name unless they believe they are governed by their name. Absent that belief, people are influenced by their name but not governed by it.
Same with numerology calculations of the birth date — if a person believes they are governed by their birth date, then they are. Otherwise, they are influenced by the energies of their birth date but not governed by it.
Numerology doesn't require belief to be what it is.
Using numerology and taking into consideration the personal tendencies and likely events during the living of life and making of choices is a healthy approach. Believing that the results of numerology calculations are revelations of predetermination can block perception of other possibilities.
A person who believes something tends to see and hear only those things that validate the belief. It's how belief works. Contradictions and information that would disprove the belief are either not perceived or are accompanied by arguments to refute the contrary information.
