Someone was telling me that according to numerology if I painted the wall of my room a different color that it would make me lucky and I could get a job. Is that true?

Colors can have an influence. But no color has sufficient power to get you a job.
To determine the energy a color represents, the name of the color is calculated like the name of anything would be calculated. The energy can then be interpreted.

Note that color influence that is not part of your numerology chart are considered to be an external influence. In other words their resonance may have an effect while you are in the same area as the color but will not when you leave the area.
